It is a pleasure to welcome you to Lamoille Union Middle School.

Each day we have the great fortune to come to LUMS and work with the most talented, creative, and caring staff and the most fun, engaging, and interesting young adults. We are thrilled to be a part of this experience each day.

The mission of Lamoille Union Middle School is to prepare students to become creative and independent thinkers capable of personal and civic responsibility. We ensure (promote) the positive development of adolescents by providing secure, varied, and challenging programs of learning that draw on community resources. We believe that keeping this mission in the forefront of all we do will help students have an incredible experience, both socially and academically, here at Lamoille Union Middle School.

We firmly believe in the connection between home and school. This year we are working to strengthen that connection with a monthly newsletter and what we hope will be regular updates on our website. In addition, we welcome parent involvement in the school. We believe that when home and school work together, students gain a deeper understanding about the importance of education and are able to clearly see the connections between home and school.
