Evaluation methods may include tests, quizzes, homework, class work, class projects, notebook, exams, portfolio exercises and other appropriate assessment tools. |

The Math Department recommends all students plan a four-year math program. |

All seniors are encouraged to take Consumer Math. |

Students are expected to have and use calculators in all levels of math courses. |

Scientific or graphing calculators are mandatory for Geometry Advanced. Statistics and Algebra II students. Advanced Math, AP Calculus and Statistics students are issued TI graphing calculators under the same conditions as textbooks. Batteries are to be provided by the student. Students must pay a $30.00 user fee (non-refundable) for the use of the graphing calculators. Students have the option of purchasing a graphing calculator (Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus is preferred) from a non-LUHS vendor. |

Students expecting to attend a four-year college need to successfully complete Algebra II or above. |
